Photo frames are known to give more atmosphere to a home, but your photos or artwork also come into their own. However, there are a few things that you should take into account when you want to buy a photo frame, such as the different types of glass. In this blog you can read about the types of glass we have in our photo frames and what the advantages are.
We use 3 different types of glass. These cannot be selected, but are always described in the specifications of the product. The different types of glass are; Plastic Polyester Apet Anti-Reflex glass, Clear cut glass and acrylic glass. These types of glass all have their own advantages. To get a better understanding of this, you should read on. This way you know quickly enough which type of glass suits you. However, we must mention that each variety is of excellent quality.
Plastic Polyester Apet Anti-Reflex
A common type of glass in photo frames is our Anti-Reflex art glass. This is often used, because it works very well in a photo frame. The glass is UV-resistant. Well, that's not the only thing, because how annoying is it that glass reflects and you constantly see the reflection of something? With this Anti-Reflex glass you don't have to worry about that anymore. These types of glass do not reflect at all. Keep in mind that you have the matte side on the artwork, otherwise the colors cannot come into their own.
Clear cut glass
Clear cut glass, the name says it all, it is real glass. With clear cut glass, your photo or work of art comes into its own. Because it is specially cut and clear glass, it is also suitable for everything you put in the frame. It is of course extremely bright, but it also gives a very nice look. You can often see immediately if it is clear glass, as it immediately gives it a whole look. Keep in mind, of course, that this can also break faster. So make sure you handle the list with care.
Acrylic glass
Acrylic glass is often compared to real clear glass, but there are still major differences. Acrylic glass is much stronger than real glass. It can certainly take a beating and with the right treatment it will look beautiful for years to come. Another advantage of acrylic glass is that it is UV-resistant. Acrylic glass is actually always clear transparent in our cases. This way your photo or artwork is very well exposed.
